Hear It

All the places you can hear my whimsical horn playing...

Sucré - A Minor Bird
Ok, I'll have to back up a bit for this one...
I started listening to a band called Sleeping at Last in 2010 when I heard Stacy King of Eisley do some singing on one of their tunes. From there I got hooked onto Jeremy Larson's blog (he writes and records Sleeping At Last's string parts). The summer of 2011 I wrote Jeremy an email explaining that I was a big fan of his and offered to do any horn playing he needed. Amazingly, he wrote back, and a few months later I found myself in Springfield recording brass for A Minor Bird. This experience was a huge dream come true for me! You can buy the album off iTunes, here. You can hear my brass playing on all tracks except "When We Were Young," "Troubled Waters," and "Persuasion."

Ghost Town
I recorded for this album back in 2008 when I lived in Los Angeles. It was the first session gig I ever did. I answered a Craigslist ad, and we worked out of a guy's studio that was built up in his garage. Took us maybe an hour and he handed me $200 in cash when we were done. I was hooked that day; I knew all I wanted to be was a musician! My horn is on "Damage" and "The Nothing Song".
